Methodology
Every row is a verbatim sentence read from the named source's own page through the estate's fetch service on the date shown, hash-pinned to the stored read (the sha of the page's visible text; the raw page is mirrored to R2).
3 of the 5 named sources that could be read published a usable figure; 1 published none and are recorded as not published, never filled in; 4 could not be read (blocked, dead or unreachable) and count nowhere.
The headline figures (median, minimum, maximum, quartiles) are over ONE figure per source in % (a source's median where its page yielded several accepted sentences), so N counts sources, never sentences; 10 candidate sentence(s) were refused by a reviewer with the reason recorded.
Derivation as chartered: the Valuation Office's own method, made computable: the fair maintainable trade bands and the percentage applied to each class of receipt in the approved guide, so a pub's declared wet, dry, accommodation and machine takings return a rateable value - and, set against the lender index, the LOAN THE TRADE SUPPORTS.
The VOA publishes the method and the rating list publishes the answer for every pub in the country, but nobody publishes the two together as a calculator, and the same trade figures drive both the rates bill and the lending decision.
Beside it the licensing conditions a lender makes a condition of drawdown, which are statute rather than policy
10 candidate sentences on these pages were refused by a reviewer; each refusal and its reason is recorded in the review ledger.
